*** All courses at the Alhambra Instituto Internacional in Málaga, Sevilla, Salamanca and Alicante (with the exception of the DELE Exam courses) are suitable for learners of all levels from absolute beginners to advanced students, and are available the whole year (except one week in December).

STANDARD COURSE

 

This course consists of 20 lessons each week. It's the perfect course to choose if you want to combine a stay in a foreign country with language classes or if you have business obligations. Also, if you prefer a less intensive daily schedule this is the right choice for you. Students can choose an appropriate course length to suit their needs and goals, from 2 to 20 weeks. In these organized blocks you'll be able to significantly improve you Spanish, no matter if you're an absolute beginner or an advanced student. The program consists of an integrated approach including textbook study, listening comprehension, pronunciation practice and practice in the key structures of Spanish.

In this course you learn language in a relaxing and friendly atmosphere. You learn the grammar with minimal effort and your vocabulary increases daily. INTENSIVE COURSE

 

This course consists of 30 lessons each week. It is designed to encourage quick progress in Spanish communication. Classes are small with 6-10 participants per group. Course duration is 2 weeks or more. The level of language spoken in the class is adjusted to fit the abilities and needs of the students. This course is especially suitable for:

 

a) Students who need to prepare for and pass their examinations in their countries, or those who want to pass the DELE exams (from the Spanish Ministry of Education).

b) Professional people (secretaries, engineers, stewardesses, pilots, lawyers, bankers, etc.) who only have a short time to study in Spain.

 

This course consists of 6 lessons daily. It's based on the Standard course and students will frequently be in the same classes for the first 4 lessons. For the extra 2 lessons per day the students practice and consolidate the spoken language introduced in the previous lessons. INTENSIVE PLUS COURSE

 

The .Intensive Plus. course is especially designed for people who want to make the most progress in the least amount of time. The program is an ideal combination of group lessons (6 each day) and individual teaching (1 lesson daily). The individual lessons of this course can be dedicated to extra conversational practice, special vocabulary or business studies. Course length: from 2 to 16 weeks, in modules of 2 weeks.

Six lessons daily in an Intensive course,as described above, plus 1private lesson every day. With 7 lessons daily, this course maximizes the benefits of group work and individual instruction. MINI GROUP COURSE

 

If you have only 2-4 weeks to spare then this is the right course for you. You can increase your Spanish knowledge as much and as quickly as possible. This is enough time to reach your goals in an exciting and motivating environment. The results of a minigroup (3-6 students) are amazing. The learning curve is accelerated by the intensity of this course and the individual lecture program takes you to your required level quickly.

This course develops skills of reading, writing, speaking and comprehension in Spanish.  Grammatical basics and a general knowledge of vocabulary are taught as well as conversational skills. COMMERCIAL SPANISH

 

This course is designed for people who already speak and understand Spanish. You will discover new aspects of the Spanish language. The goal is to learn how to structure speech correctly, how to define concepts and to speak and write Spanish properly in the business world. Topics covered in this course are, for example: general business correspondence, negotiations, discussion of commercial topics, dialogues in business situations, how to create a company in Spain, commercial law and the position of Spain in the international market. This course is ideal for those who wish to work in any branch of business in Spain or Latin America, such as people working in banking, insurance and the import/export sector.

 

Spanish has become one of the most important world economic languages, a fact which should come as no surprise considering that the world-wide Spanish-speaking population approximates 400 million and that many Spanish-speaking countries have experienced positive economic development in recent years, increasing their importance in international markets. Companies know that the most effective and polite way to speak to customers is to speak to them in their own language -- for this reason employees with knowledge of Spanish and experience abroad are a great benefit for their companies in the competitive world of international business. By taking the Commercial Spanish course you not only are able to combine your Spanish language-learning with a holiday experience -- at the same time you will increase your qualifications and job prospects in many different professions.

INDIVIDUAL COURSE (ONE TO ONE)

 

Our Individual Course offers our participants a flexible individual learning program. The course is dedicated to the personal and specific needs of each student. The topics are chosen according to the particular requirements and study aims of the learner, such as Spanish for business, exam preparation or specific areas of language difficulty, such as grammar work, comprehension skills and oral communication. There is a choice between 2, 4 or 6 lessons daily.

This course lasts between one and sixteen weeks. You can also start in this course and then change to a group course if desired. Individual sessions guarantee you flexibility and success. Upon successful completion of intermediate or advanced courses a Diploma Básico is awarded. Successful completion of the superior level course awards you the internationally recognized "Diploma Superior de Español como Lengua Extranjera" (D.E.L.E.: Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language).

The D.E.L.E. exam takes place in Málaga in May and November. It also takes place in Sevilla, Salamanca, Madrid and in 15 other cities in Spain, as well as at the Spanish Embassy and Cultural Institutes of Spain in your home country. There are over 100 testing centers all over the world.

The Alhambra Instituto Internacional offers an intensive 2-to-4 week preparation course to obtain this internationally recognized diploma offered by the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. The exam is offered at three levels; inicial, básico and superior. To obtain the 'initial' diploma, students require at least a pre-intermediate level, for the 'basic' diploma, an intermediate level and for the 'superior' an advanced or superior level to begin the course.

SUMMER COURSE

 

A holiday course with a maximum of 10 students per group. We combine classes with a large variety of outdoor-activities. Summer courses at the Alhambra Institituto Internacional are really something special!

The summer course is offered at all levels from total beginner to advanced. With this course you can combine studying and vacationing. The activity program gives you many opportunities to immerse yourself in Spanish culture and explore Málaga and other cities in Andalusia.   Starting Dates: each Monday of the summer months* Duration:  from 2 to 4 weeks No. of lessons per week:  20 lessons weekly No. of students per class:  from 3 to 6 Levels:  all *except for absolute beginners, who start the first Monday of each month   Our special summer program offers a range of activities to suit all tastes: cultural visits, sports events and parties. We also offer an extended choice of accommodation: students can stay with host families or in apartments which they share with other students, sleeping in single or double rooms.
